Dr. Jeffrey Bonang and Dr. Laurie Campbell - Bonang

Dr. Jeffrey Bonang (General Dentist)

Dr. Jeffrey Bonang has been enjoying the practice of General Dentistry here in Cole Harbour Since 1988. Dr. Bonang practices with his wife Dr. Laurie Campbell-Bonang. Dr. Bonang provides all aspects of general dentistry procedures and has a particular interest in Orthodontics, Endodontics and restoring missing teeth with Dental Implants.

Dr. Jeff Bonang grew up in Halifax, attended St. Patrick’s High School, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Dalhousie University in 1983. He graduated from Dalhousie Dental University with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1987. After graduation, he moved to Ottawa and practiced dentistry for 1 year. Jeff has practiced general dentistry in Cole Harbour, since 1988. Jeff and Laurie have three children Kelsey, Jordan and Emily.

When Dr. Bonang is not practicing dentistry he can be found on the golf course, at one of the local rinks with his kids, cycling, photography or playing keyboards with a local band – “Bittersweet”.

Dr. Laurie Campbell-Bonang (General Dentist)

Dr. Laurie Campbell-Bonang began practicing in Cole Harbour in January, 1989. She was born in Saint John, New Brunswick and attended UNBSJ and UNB for her Bachelor of Science degree. She graduated from Dalhousie University with a Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1987 and after practicing for a year and a half in Ottawa, Ontario she returned to the Maritimes to set up practice in Cole Harbour.

Dr. Laurie Campbell-Bonang practices with her husband, Dr. Jeff Bonang, and together they provide all aspects of general dentistry with Dr. Laurie's special interest in cosmetic dentistry. Jeff & Laurie have three children Kelsey, Jordan & Emily and a Black Lab named Riley. Dr. Laurie's personal interests include golfing, cycling, travelling, music and cheering her kids on in their various sport activities.

Dr. Laurie continues to enjoy the practice of dentistry at Cole Harbour Dental Centre and values the friendships she has made over the years with great team members and her wonderful patient family.

Dr. Stacey Canning-Lively (Dentist)

Dr Stacey Canning-Lively has been with the Cole Harbour Dental Centre since 2006. She grew up in Truro and attended CEC. From there, she attended Dalhousie University, obtaining her Bachelor of Science degree then her Doctorate of Dental Surgery in 1998. After practicing a few years in New Brunswick, she returned to her favourite oceanside province!

Dr Canning-Lively enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and aims to provide a positive dental experience for her adult and child patients. She especially enjoys calming the fears of anxious patients.

Dr Stacey loves living in the Maritimes with her husband Joe and her sons, including "furry son" Champ (their Golden Retriever!).

Lisa (Dental Hygienist)

Lisa is Dr.’s Bonang and Campbell-Bonang’s full-time hygienist. She graduated from Holland College; P.E.I. with her certificate in dental assisting in 1992 and later went on to Algonquin College in Ottawa, Ontario and graduated with her diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1997. With 13 years in the dental field, she joined the Cole Harbour Dental Centre team in 2003, after returning from a five-year adventure in British Columbia. Lisa loves living back on the beautiful East Coast with her son's Joshua and Nathan, dog Rylie and cat Felicia. She has recently discovered a passion for creative gardening and gourmet BBQ-ing.

Paula (Dental Hygienist)

Paula is a Registered Dental Hygienist at Cole Harbour Dental Centre. She works for both Dr. Bonang and Dr. Campbell-Bonang. She graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with her Bachelor of Science Degree in 1987 and then later moved to Ontario and went to George Brown College and obtained her diploma in Dental Hygiene in 1995. She moved back to Nova Scotia in 2003 and came on board with us! Paula is a native of Cape Breton and has still managed to keep a bit of her accent. She enjoys yoga, hiking, and camping. Her favorite pastime is attempting 'handy woman' jobs around the house, with sometimes questionable, but usually favorable results.

Stephanie (Dental Assistant)

Stephanie is Dr. Campbell- Bonang’s registered dental assistant. After spending 4 years at St. Mary’s University she graduated from NSCC- Institute of Technology in 1998. She has been in the dental field for nine years and with Dr. Campbell-Bonang since 2002. Stephanie's hobbies include walking with her daughter Avelyn and her dog Lacey, cooking and camping with her family.

Becky (Dental Assistant)

Becky is one of the two assistants’ that work for Dr Jeff Bonang. She has been in the dental field for five years since graduating from Holland College in 2002 and has been with Dr. Bonang since January 2007. Her hobbies include reading, baking, listening to all different genre's of music and spending time with family, friends and her four cats.

Mary (Dental Assistant)

Graduated from Dental Assisting at NSIT in 1979. She lives in Dartmouth with the youngest of her four children. She enjoys baking and cake decorating. Mary joined the Cole Harbour Dental Team in 2008.

Joanne (Business Assistant)

Joanne is Dr. Bonang’s Business assistant. She is the first person you see when you come in for your appointment. She books all of Dr. Bonang’s appointments and is also the financial coordinator for all major procedures. She has been in the dental field for more than fifteen years and has been with Dr. Bonang since 1996. In her spare time she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

Mo (Business Assistant)

Mo is Dr Stacey's dental receptionist, and is one of the first and last people many of our patients interact with at our front desk during their visit. From appointment reminders, to booking emergencies, or finding the answer to any question you may have of our office--- she really enjoys helping people and learning something new every day. In her spare time, she has her hands full out in Mineville with her menagerie (a Lab-Cross and 3 demanding indoor cats).

Valerie Clark (Office Manager)

Valerie is the office manager at Cole Harbour Dental Centre. She graduated from Dental Assisting in 1987 and later went to St. FX where she graduated with her business degree in 1992. Valerie is a native of Cape Breton but now calls Dartmouth home. Valerie spends her spare time with her husband Dougie and running to sporting events with children Morgan and Allie.
